Science - What is WHITE light?

Today we focussed on proving what white light is made of, answering many of our questions around colour and rainbows.

We created our own Newtons wheel, and proved that when we span it really fast, the colours became invisible, and instead we saw the colour white. We learned this is the opposite of how a rainbow is made, where the case is that light is split! We learned that the process of the seven colours becoming white, is called colour addition.

Next week we will be exploring how we see colour, and why red objects are red, and blue are blue.
