How does human activity impact different coastlines?

Image
The lesson today started with the children identifying how coastline can be affected by man. There answers were: climate change, rubbish, land being built on, erosion from sea defences not being used or replaced as well as building walls or revetments for man to use.  The children were then given two case studies which highlighted how two different countries had changed their coastlines and why; Ghana and United Arab Emirates. The children read the information and then discussed how the land had been reclaimed in one and the effect on the physical and human geography.

POST SATS - activity 4 - The Aqua Park

The one that they’ve been waiting for - The Aqua Park. Despite the chill in the air and a little rain, the children had a blast! Pushing each other in (and the occasional grown-up!!), the children laughed, jumped, slid, splashed, helped each other, plotted and many other things!  Well done Year 6 - you have done yourselves proud and deserved the fun!
