ENGLISH - using direct speech

Today we revisited direct speech with a particular focus on using the correct speech punctuation. When writing speech the children need to remember the inverted commas at the start and at the end of what’s being said, as well remembering capital letters and any punctuation within the talking! Then, on top of that they need to remember to put every new speaker on a new line!

Using The Wolves in the Walls as our stimulus, the children practiced their writing by creating conversations between the wolves.
