What is the Earth made up of?
During today’s lesson the children recapped their learning from last week and then they looked at the different layers of the Earth. From there, they researched what makes up each layer. The crust is the thinnest layer of the Earth. Whereas, the mantle is the thickest layer and moves slowly like putty. The Inner and Outer Cores are the deepest layers.
Some very interesting questions asked such as, how do we know what the layers are made up of as man cannot get down below the crust?
