READING
Everyone in Year 6 has been given a Reading Journal. This is to allow them to track and record what they have been reading. Whether they read at home or at school, the children have been asked to record the book and page numbers and if they want to a comment about what they have read.
If an adult hears them, they too can jot an entry in the journal.
We would like the journals to go back and forth from home to school so any opportunities to read can be recorded. We’ve spent a few minutes this afternoon kick-starting them. Please encourage them to read a little at home and ask to see their journals from time to time as we will do in school too.
As Dr Seuss says, “The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go!”
